Bus Driver

Ed Beaven is one of the children’s favourite people at Renfrew – a bus driver - and for his part, he really enjoys the children on his bus and seeing them progress throughout the year.

 

Ed, who was an experienced school bus driver, came to Renfrew to register his older son in the program.  When a job came available at Renfrew, it was a perfect fit for him because it allowed him to transport his son to and from school and have time to spend with him during the day as well. He is positive about his experience with the agency. “You’re seen as an individual in a personal way and you don’t get lost in the shuffle working here,” he says.

Right now, Ed feels that he needs to spend lots of time with his children, who are both facing challenges, and Renfrew has allowed him to be a spare driver so that he has that time.   “Renfrew is one of the few places I’ve worked where family is number one” he states.

 

In the future, Ed sees himself staying in a people related position of some kind.  “Whatever I do,” he declares, “I’ll always be a Renfrew supporter!”
