Youth Fitness Program for Individuals with Disabilities

We offer fun, exciting activities to increase fitness levels.
Weekly programs, led by a
Certified Fitness Specialist. The Youth Fitness Program is a great way for kids to stay fit - and have a great time doing it!
About the Program
Interactive Fitness & Sport FUNdamentals
Interactive Fitness: For the first 30 minutes of each session, participants will have the opportunity to challenge themselves using exciting interactive fitness equipment such as:
- Expresso™ Interactive Youth Fitness Bike
- Traverse Climbing Wall
- Interactive SportWall™
- Nintendo Wii™ Sports and Fitness Games
Sport FUNdamentals: During the second half of each session, participants will learn fundamental skills in popular sports such as:
- Basketball
- Soccer
- Baseball
- Hockey
- In-line Skating
All activities are non-competitive and inclusive, promoting development of physical skills and social skills such as teamwork and sportsmanship.
Ages
For youth from 7 years and up.
Dates and Times
October - December 2010. Specific dates to be announced.
Sessions run from 6:30 - 7:30pm at Renfrew's Janice McTighe Centre location (2050 - 21 Street NE)
Fees
$140.00
Payment is non-refundable and is due on or before the first day of the program.
NOTE: Program fees can be applied to the $500.00/year fitness tax incentive. Other funding options may be available.
