Door-to-Door Transportation

Our bus service is unique in Calgary and area and makes our programs accessible to families who would otherwise be unable to get their children to school. This door-to-door busing is offered to children within boundary restrictions.

Renfrew is proud of it’s well managed and operated bus service. We own and operate a fleet of 48 school buses which accommodate wheelchairs and car seats and have 4 point safety systems for all passengers. Buses are also equipped with DVD players for the children. Our transportation department consists of a manager, a vehicle safety coordinator, a scheduling coordinator, an instructor driver, a dispatcher and 44 drivers.

The safety of the children in our care is of utmost importance. Our buses meet all Alberta Government safety standards and are equipped with 2-way radios to ensure that help is always on hand if there is an emergency. Renfrew drivers receive ongoing training that includes:

• Defensive driving 
• Winter driving 
• First Aid and CPR 
• Bus evacuation drills 
• Safety endorsement programs
